Today, March 12, 2020, the Ontario government announced the closure of all publicly funded schools after March Break until at least April 5th, 2020 to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 ("Coronavirus").
Following suit with the government, the South Western Ontario Region (Caledonia, Hagersville, Paris, and Waterford) clubs will be cancelling all events until at least this date. This includes:
- Regularly scheduled classes beginning tomorrow, March 13, 2020
- March Break workouts
- Ju Jutsu clinic on March 29, 2020
- Annual SWOR Tournament on April 4, 2020
While COVID-19 is not particularly dangerous to most of our students, we feel an obligation to protect everyone involved, from our students and instructors, to their family and friends who support them at the club and at home.
Further news will be shared through various mediums, including the MAPDA site, Facebook pages, and club communications (text messaging and email). To keep up-to-date as the situation progresses, we'd ask that you check back here occasionally, or follow your club on Facebook:

The 2019 SWOR invitational tournament will be hosted on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the McKinnon Park Secondary School in Caledonia, Ontario.
Pre-registration is open at https://swor2019.mapda.ca/ or you can register at the door. The doors open at 8:30AM, and the tournament starts at 10:00AM. Medals for junior divisions will be given out at lunch, and adult divisions at the tournament's completion.
The 2018/2019 startup dates for South Western Ontario Region have been confirmed!
Caledonia will host registration night on Monday, September 10th at 7PM. The first class will be on Wednesday, September 12th from 7:00PM - 8:00PM for Intermediates, and 8:00PM - 9:00PM for Adults. If there are enough kids for a class, they will likely run from 6:00PM - 7:00PM.
Hagersville will host registration for new and returning students on Tuesday, September 11th at 6PM. There will be a class for returning students from 6:45PM until 7:30PM for Kids, and continue until 8:30PM for adults. The first class for new students will be on Thursday, September 13th.
Paris will host registration and first class on Tuesday, September 4th beginning at 7:00PM. Beginners will run from 7:00PM - 8:00PM, while Advanced students will continue until 9:00PM.
Waterford will host registration on Monday, September 10th beginning at 7:00PM. First class will be Wednesday, September 12th from 7:00PM - 8:00PM for Kids, and 8:00PM to 9:30PM for Adults.

SWOR fees remain unchanged from last year, and can be viewed here.
There will be a Brown and Black Belt workout at the Waterford club on Sunday, November 18th.
We will begin with Shindo at 10am, followed by Jujitsu, and then followed by Karate.
