The annual SWOR Tournament in Caledonia is coming up. It will be Saturday April 7th, 2018 at the McKinnon Park Secondary School.

Doors open at 8:30AM, and the competition begins at 10:00AM. There will be a meeting at 9:30AM for Blue, Brown, and all Black Belts.

A new Synchronized Kata division has been added this year. Participants must be Orange Belt and above, and groups must have either 3 or 4 members to compete. Each participant can only be in one group.

All participants must wear a mouthguard and handpads during the sparring. Anyone not wearing this equipment will not be allowed to compete. Optional equipment such as groin protection, foot guards, and head protection is recommended.

Medals will be given during a break between Kids and Adults divisions, around noon. Medals for Adults will be given after Adult divisions.

The Waterford club will be hosting a Shindo Clinic on February 25, 2018. The class will begin at 10AM and finish at 2PM. Lunch will be from 12 - 12:30.

This clinic will be for all Shindo ranks. Please bring your own lunch and soft hanbo.

The Kids' Mini Tournament at the Paris club will be hosted on February 15, 2018. This tournament is for White, Yellow, and Orange belts, ages 12 and under.

Pre-registrations are required and can be submitted to your club-instructor. The total cost for entry is $10.

Green belts and above are welcome to come out to learn about tablework, corner judging, and to help with the younger students.

On Tuesday, December 12, 2017, the Paris Club will be hosting a mini-tournament for the Junior ages (ages 12 and under) for White, Yellow, and Orange Belts.

The cost for entry will be $10. Pre-registrations are required, and can be submitted to your club instructor directly. All interested should speak with their instructor before December 5th.

7PM will be the start time of the tournament, but participants should arrive a little early to have time to change and orient themselves. Parents and spectators are welcome to watch; seating will be provided.

This tournament is provded to familiarize White, Yellow, and Orange into the tournament scene. Green and up are especially welcome as they can familiarize themselves with tablework and possibly corner-judging.

Unfortunately, the Kids' Tournament tonight (December 12, 2017) is cancelled because of poor weather in Paris. We will host the tournament in the new year still. The date will be announced soon by your instructors!

The monthly clinic at the Waterford Dojo will be held on November 19th, 2017.

Karate will begin at 10:00 am, followed by Shindo.
